Did you hear? Travel Texas has just published our new travel industry impact data for 2024. Thanks to all of you, travel had a staggering $199.5 billion impact on the Texas economy last year.

As we approach the end of the Texas 89th Legislative Session on June 2nd, we are reminded of the important work being done to advocate for our industry. • Texas Travel Summit: Join us for our annual summit where industry leaders gather to share insights, gain valuable knowledge through industry education sessions, network, and discuss the future of travel and tourism in Texas. Don’t miss this premier event for travel industry professionals! October 1-3, San Antonio
• Julie Chase Scholarship: We are now accepting applications for this prestigious scholarship. The Julie Chase Scholarship is focused on professional development for women who are studying/planning to study in a hospitality related field at a Texas college or university. Apply today - applications are due by May 31, 2025.
• TTA Board Nominations: TTA's Board of Directors 2025 Nominations Committee, chaired by Jorge Franz, is now accepting nominations for candidates to fill at-large positions on the Board. Submit nominations for a leader who will support the Alliance’s mission and goals for the Texas travel industry by 5:00pm on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

In addition, we are thrilled to announce the second episode of our new podcast, "What I Like About Texas" will air this month. Sponsored by Visit South Padre Island, this episode will feature more engaging conversations with industry experts, highlighting the unique destinations, attractions, and experiences that make Texas a top travel destination.
