Nominee should be a young Travel and Tourism Industry professional that a member organization would like to recognize for their outstanding accomplishments, and for their demonstration of leadership and commitment to the Industry and the Alliance.

Award recipient responsibilities include: Must be able to attend and participate in Texas Travel Alliance Board meetings as an ex-officio member, assist with volunteer activities at events, and support leadership development efforts within the Industry.

To nominate a young professional for the Rising Star Award, the nominator must work at a member organization, preferably at the same organization as nominee, although it is not necessary; and nominee’s supervisor must support the nomination.

A nomination form must be received for a nomination to be valid. In addition to the nomination form, please include materials that reflect the nominee’s accomplishments and eligibility for this award. For example, you may submit resumes, press clippings, letters of recommendation or any other information you feel should be considered. The nomination form and any supplemental information submitted by the nominator will be the only factors considered in the selection process. A selection committee will review those documents and choose an award recipient.
