Texas Travel Alliance Honors Jasmyne Harris with 2025 Rising Star Award

(Austin, TX) Oct. 14, 2025 - The Texas Travel Alliance (TTA) is proud to announce Jasmyne Harris as the recipient of the 2025 Rising Star Award, presented during the 40th Annual Texas Travel Summit held October 1st – 3rd in San Antonio.

Jasmyne Harris, Communications and Creative Manager at AJR Media Group, has distinguished herself as a dynamic force in the travel and tourism industry. From her early beginnings in San Angelo, Jasmyne demonstrated an exceptional drive and creativity, diving into destination marketing just days after graduating college. Her work in social media strategy, website management, and video storytelling quickly made an impact, bringing her hometown to life in new and engaging ways.

 

Her journey has been marked by a deep commitment to supporting small tourism teams through her freelance design studio, rebranding blogs, crafting podcast identities, and contributing to meaningful projects like the San Angelo NAACP Buffalo Soldier Memorial. All this while earning her Certified Tourism Executive designation through TTA.

 

At AJR Media Group, Jasmyne now leads branding efforts for Tour Texas and Tour Louisiana, using authentic, user-generated content to spotlight hidden gems and connect travelers with the heart of each destination. Her work is not only creative - it’s community-driven. She actively participates in the Woodlands Women’s Collective, serves on national equity and inclusion task forces, and mentors emerging tourism professionals.
